Business-oriented education for professionals
- In collaboration with industrial partners, develop and deliver courses for working professionals
- Scope is AI Management, covering subject areas in Computer Science, Supply Chain & Operations Management, and Business Administration
Introduction
Courses developed in the project focus on leading and controlling the use of individual AI-based solutions, but also management of operations that use different combinations of AI. These two aspects are covered by the concept of AI Management, which is the core of this project. A central theme is decision-making in data-driven organizations.
AI Management enables the industry to handle complex issues, whilst maintaining secure and sustainable businesses where employees can contribute to utilizing the opportunities that AI offers.
Courses are aimed at working professionals and are delivered in a flexible format.
Importance of competence development in AI management
Data-driven AI solutions are increasingly used by the manufacturing industry and stakeholders within their ecosystems. A barrier to successful AI implementation and utilization is lack of understanding on where in the organization and exactly how AI technologies can create value. This can be mitigated with increased knowledge about the possibilities, but also the limitations and requirements associated with AI. The project’s courses will focus on developing the knowledge and skills necessary to build efficient AI solutions that are sustainable, trustworthy, and ethical.
The project aims to improve AI maturity in the region, and thus create opportunities for more successful AI utilization, which in turn will benefit the competitiveness of Swedish industry.
Project activities
First phase of the project, which runs until June 30th, 2024, focuses on two activities:
