Is the Pathway Programme right for me?
Depending on what you need in order to meet the requirements for studies at Jönköping University, the Pathway Programmes are designed to improve your skills and proficiency in English, mathematics or other subjects. They will also enable you to reach your full academic and social potential while in Sweden. The Pathway Programmes also help develop your language proficiency in different ways depending on your current level. This means that courses range from language support and intensive training in academic English to more extensive instruction, designed for international students who want to improve their English language proficiency in combination with an introduction to the Swedish language and familiarization with Swedish society and culture. In addition, the Pathway Programmes provide knowledge of higher education in Sweden and how to communicate in an academic environment.
If you meet some of the academic requirements for a degree programme at Jönköping University but lack the level of required in other areas such as English, High School Mathematics, you may apply to one of our Pathway Programmes. We will provide you with the necessary skills for your academic journey. In addition, the Pathway Programmes provide study skills and knowledge of the Swedish environment – in order for you to meet the expectations of university studies in Sweden.
Conditional Offer to a Degree Programme after the Pathway Programme
Some Pathway Programmes lead directly to a specific programme at Jönköping University, while other Pathways make it possible for you to apply for any degree programme. When applying for the Pathway Programme, you may also apply for a degree programme at Jönköping University. If eligible, you will receive a conditional offer to a bachelor or master programme. To meet the requirements of your conditional offer you might need to choose certain courses. When having successfully completed the Pathway Programme you can enter into your pre-selected and eligibility assessed degree programme without any further applications or testing.

Jönköping University Enterprise and North Park University, Chicago, USA, have entered into a collaboration agreement regarding Pathway Programmes.

Since 2018, JUE has a collaboration agreement with BI Norwegian Business School (BI), Oslo, Norway, regarding Pathway Programmes.
