Student instruction in programmes and courses
Teaching librarians
We welcome teachers to contact the library for a discussion and to work out a collaboration plan regarding information retrieval as a feature in a course or programme.
The library has a well-established user education and cooperates continually in most educational programmes at the university. The aim of our education is to, in collaboration with the schools, help students reach the intended learning outcomes concerning information searching. The education is planned in consultation with the teacher and is adjusted to the level of the education.
Examples of contents:
- formulating search words
- search strategy
- search techniques
- search services relevant for a specific subject
- evaluation of search results
- the different publication channels for different subject fields
Individual search support for students
It might be good to know that, besides the user education described above, the library also offers individual search support for students in connection with their thesis work.
