Pathway Summer

Information regarding Pathway Summer 2020

Application period

The application period has been extended until 2 May.

Please note that it is possible that all available places on a specific bachelor or master programme have been filled, which means that the specific programme will not be open for late application.

Online possibility

Pathway Summer will be offered online if for any reason we cannot conduct the education on Campus Gränna, or if the situation in other parts of the world prevents students from traveling to Sweden. Further information will be provided.

Conditional admission to a degree programme at JU

If you have been conditionally admitted to a study programme at JU, you will still be eligible to start your studies at JU after successful completion of the pathway programme, regardless of whether Pathway Summer is delivered online or on-campus.

The Pathway Summer Programme is a crash course in English for students wishing to get a head start. After the summer, you will be using English more confidently and will be well prepared to take on academic studies.

The programme is tailored for students with an IELTS score of at least 6.0 or equivalent (see requirements) who wish to improve their English proficiency and become eligible for university studies in Sweden.  Choose this pathway to support your career and future employability.

4 weeks (July start)

Learning is based on a combination of activities such as lecture-based input, seminars, study visits, projects and guidance. Dedicated teachers, small student groups and a supportive learning environment with continuous feedback will provide you with an excellent framework to succeed in your studies. In addition to the formal courses you are expected to engage in self-studies for 20 hours per week.
