Course ContentsThe course includes:
Discrete-event simulation has proven to be an important tool for improving and developing industrial systems. The course introduces the students to applied discrete-event simulation modelling and analysis. It focuses on providing an overview of the principle concepts in simulation to support students with acquiring hands-on knowledge of using a discrete-event simulation package. Moreover, the application and strengths and weaknesses of discrete-event simulation is highlighted throughout the course. Upon working on a hands-on project, the students develop skills to interpret and communicate the relevance and results of such simulation for industrial systems.
PrerequisitesGeneral entry requirements and completed courses comprising 60 credits in first cycle including Mathematical Statistics, 7,5 credits
