Jönköping International Business School (JIBS) is one of four schools within Jönköping University.
JIBS is a separate legal entity operating as a limited liability, not-for-profit subsidiary company owned by the Jönköping University Foundation.
The Dean of JIBS is also its Managing Director, and a member of the Jönköping University Management Team comprised of the President, the President's executive team and the Deans/Managing Directors of the six companies within Jönköping University.
JIBS' governance structure is directly linked to our legal status as an autonomous, limited liability, non-profit, subsidiary company of Jönköping University, operating under the Swedish Companies Act.
The Dean is responsible for JIBS’ strategy and its implementation, as well as the school's relationship with the local society and business community.
The University is organised as a non-profit corporate group. The Group
comprises Jönköping University Foundation and its six wholly owned
subsidiaries. They are organised as limited companies and include: the
School of Health and Welfare, the School of Education and Communication,
Jönköping International Business School, the School of Engineering,
University Services and Jönköping University Enterprise. The Foundation conducts activities through the subsidiaries.
