The EIASM Workshop on Family Firm Management Research was initiated by CeFEO in 2005 and has become one of the most important venues for scholars to gather and discuss current research on family business in Europe and beyond.

The 16th EIASM Workshop on Family Firm Management Research will be in Cork (Ireland) on October 1-3, 2020. The workshop will be co-organized by CeFEO and Cork University Business School. The title of the workshop is “Resilience in family firms” and the chairpersons will be Linda Murphy, Elaine O’Brien, Catherine Duggan, Massimo Baù, and Kajsa Haag. The keynote speakers will be Joseph Astrachan (Witten/Herdecke University, Germany; Cornell University, USA) and Giovanna Campopiano (Lancaster University Management School, UK).

The 15th EIASM Workshop on Family Firm Management Research was held in Nantes (France) on May 23-25, 2019. The workshop was co-organized by CeFEO and Audencia Business School. The title of the workshop was “Family entrepreneurship and society” and the chairpersons were Emma Avetisyan, Miruna Radu-Lefebvre, Kathleen Randerson, Christian Vögtlin, Ethel Brundin, and Mattias Nordqvist. The keynote speakers were Laura Spence (University of London, UK) and Alfredo De Massis (Free University of Bozen-Bolzano, Italy).
The 14th EIASM Workshop on Family Firm Management Research was held in Larnaca (Cyprus) from May 17-19, 2018. The workshop was co-organized by CeFEO and the Centre for Entrepreneurial Development Alliance Research at the University of Central Lancashire in Cyprus. The title of the workshop was “Entrepreneurial families across generations” and the chairpersons were Panikkos Poutziouris, Ethel Brundin, and Mattias Nordqvist. The keynote speakers for the event were Carole Howorth (University of York, UK) and Lloyd Steier (University of Alberta, Canada).
