The JIBS Entrepreneurship Challenge is an innovation race based on a real-life business case. For this, the 10th anniversary of the challenge, IKEA will be providing the business case for the competition.
“We are eager to see the outcome, and what these curious students will find out during the challenge in terms of finding innovative approaches on connecting social entrepreneurs with corporate businesses. My hope is that the entire IKEA supply chain becomes even more inclusive; delivering to our economic, environmental and social agenda. Then we could also inspire other retailers to do the same. That’s what I call impact!” says Vaishali Misra, Business Leader, IKEA Social Entrepreneurship.
How it works
During 24 hours, the participating teams will work to produce the most creative and inspiring solution to the case, which they will finally present to a jury made up of representatives from IKEA, JIBS, Science Park, and local business leaders.
The team that presents the best solution to the case will be rewarded with SEK 60,000, the second prize is SEK 40,000 and the third prize is SEK 20,000. On top of that, the team that performs the best pitch will win SEK 10,000.
How to take part
If you want to be a part of this, you can apply to participate in teams of maximum four students (from any of the four schools at JU). The teams must include at least one student from JTH and at least one student from JIBS. A maximum of 15 teams will be chosen to compete in this year's challenge.
