Radu Harald Dinu är universitetslektor och ämnesansvarig i historia samt biträdande ledare för forskningsmiljön CCD (www.ju.se/ccd) vid Jönköping University.

Hans pågående forskning kretsar kring funktionshinderhistoria (disability history) och Östeuropas moderna och samtida historia. Han har nyligen initierat och varit medredaktör för Disability and Labour in the Twentieth Century, en antologi som publicerades i bokserien Interdisciplinary Disability Studies (Routledge). Dinu ingår i flera nationella och internationella forskningsnätverk. Sedan 2023 är han redaktör för All of us, en refereegranskad vetenskaplig blogg som publiceras av American Disability History Association. Dinu är också, tillsammans med Richard Gäddman Johansson (Mälardalens Universitet), koordinator för det Svenska nätverket för kritisk funktionshinderforskning (KritFunk).

Hans tidigare forskning har fokuserat på fascismens historia. I sin doktorsavhandling "Faschismus, Religion und Gewalt in Südosteuropa" (Fascism, religion och våld i sydöstra Europa) har han undersökt de fascistiska rörelserna i Rumänien och Jugoslavien/Kroatien under mellankrigstiden.

Radu Harald Dinu disputerade 2012 i historia vid Max Weber Center for Advanced Cultural and Social Studies (Universitetet i Erfurt, Tyskland), och har en magisterexamen i östeuropeisk historia (2006) från Universitetet i Leipzig, Tyskland. Tidigare har han varit verksam vid Hugo Valentin-Centrum (Uppsala universitet), Karolinska institutet och Högskolan i Skövde.
