Lighting for Expo and Events 15 Credits

Course Contents

The course explores the usage and the purpose of lighting within the setting of expo and event. By visual evaluation lighting installations are planned to communicate a message for promotional or entertainment purposes.

This course includes the following elements:
- Luminaire technology
- Lighting control systems
- Visual communication with lighting
- Interaction between man, light and environment
- Lighting and user experience
- The lighting planning process and planning methods
- Further development of an original light installation
- Lighting tests and mock-up prototypes
- Visual evaluation

Prerequisites

General entry requirements and completed courses 60 credits in first cycle within the program, including Basics in Light Source and Luminaire Proficiency, 6 credits or Basics in Light Source and Luminaire Proficiency, 9 credits, as well as project experience
