Application fee
Students with citizenship in a country outside the EU, EEA and Switzerland are required to pay a SEK 900 (approximately EUR 100) application fee. You pay one application fee, regardless of how many programmes or courses you apply for during the current admission period. The application fee is non-refundable.
Application period
Jönköping University offers a local admission for international students to apply directly to us. The application period is: October 16- May 2.
After placing an online application, students should send all supporting documents directly to Jönköping University Admissions, within 2 weeks.
Note: If you are applying to multiple Swedish universities, you may prefer to use universityadmissions.se, the national admission system (which is open from October 16- January 15). However, if only applying to us, we strongly recommend our local admission.
Payment
The application fee must be paid when the application is submitted (please follow the Instructions for Application).
Tuition fees are paid to the university directly. The tuition fee for the programme is divided into equal installments; one payment before each semester. The first installment of tuition fee is paid before the application for a residency permit can be approved.
If an application for residence permit is not approved by the Swedish Migration Agency, you can apply for refund of the paid tuition fee instalment due to special reasons. Such refund is most often granted.
In Sweden, all offers of admission are considered preliminary until the student has paid the first installment of his or her tuition fee.
