This area of research revolves around an interest in children, youth and the current living conditions of families in society. Of special interest are the various counselling, subsidies and other efforts employed to ameliorate social problems. Research topics include how the social problems of children, youth and families are perceived and how social work participants address them. A fundamental approach addresses the ways in which the efforts of society can be made more receptive to the needs of children, youth and families.
