LeadMe researcher at Learning Forum 2018

Ylva Lindberg visited Learning Forum in Gothenburg, 9-10 October 2018.

The main impressions that I take back from these workshops are the following:

a) There are tensions between different instances, such as school leadership levels, IT-consultants, and teachers’ professional knowledge and competences. These instances are not sufficiently concerted in digitalization processes, and data from implementation projects are often stored and used by IT-consultants and companies, and not by the school themselves

b) digital tools for keeping track of and evaluating different data in school was one important issue on the discussion agenda. One of the panel discussant uttered that: There are no knowledge about digitalization and proven experience in schools in Sweden, pointing to the challenge that there are not enough proofs of what types of digital solutions that actually support efficient learning.
