Mats Jackson, previously manager for manufacturing research at Volvo Construction Equipment, will be responsible for leading Jönköping University’s new collaboration venture within the research profile Knowledge Intensive Product Realisation.
In January 2017, Jönköping University officially becomes a KK environment. Through collaboration with the Swedish Knowledge Foundation the university will build a strong and internationally competitive research and education environment within the field Knowledge Intensive Product Realisation. The work will be based on projects, which are carried out together with companies.
Jönköping University now strengthens the organization of the research profile by recruiting Mats Jackson for the position as programme manager. He has earlier held a position as manager for manufacturing at Volvo Construction Equipment as well as several positions within ABB. Mats Jackson is also a professor in Innovative Production at Mälardalen University.
"Mats Jackson is very well-merited academically and has substantial experience from leading positions in business. His knowledge will be a valuable asset in the work that we have now started together with the Swedish Knowledge Foundation and the business sector, says Mats Jägstam," Vice President at Jönköping University.

Mats Jackson starts his position as programme manager for Knowledge Intensive Product Realisation at Jönköping University on 1 January 2017. He will be employed by the School of Engineering, while his position as programme manager is university wide.
