JIBS has collaborative PhD and MSc programs with Addis Ababa University, College of Business and Economics (AAB-CBE) and University of Rwanda, College of Business and Economics (UR-CBE).

About the project

In a unique agreement, JIBS collaborates with four leading universities in Africa. Under the umbrella of the Entrepreneurship and Innovation for Development (EID) JIBS will work together with the College of Business and Economics at University of Rwanda, the College of Business and Economics at Addis Ababa University, Ethiopia, the College of Business and Management Sciences at Makerere University, Uganda and the University of Dar Es Salaam Business School, Tanzania in four areas;

  1. PhD education in Management and Economics
  2. Research in Management and Economics
  3. Research dissemination platforms
  4. Private sector development

As many of the challenges and opportunities are of similar kind for the African partners within EID, the potential of success of the partnership is great and the contributions to national and regional development will be substantial.

As part of the exchange, education, training, research capacity building and publication activities we intend to organize workshops and conferences on an annual basis at partner universities.

Efforts are made to extend this collaborative program which is financed by the Swedish International Development Cooperation (Sida) External link, opens in new window. to include other universities in Eastern Africa.

Jönköping International Business School began their African journey many years ago, and are now cooperating with four leading African universities.
