  • JU becomes R&D university for the aluminium industry


    Anders Jarfors, Swedish Aluminum (Svenskt Aluminium) has developed its collaboration with Jönköping University (JU) making it the industry's national research and development university (R&D) in materials science.
  • Jönköping University will co-host when Europe’s largest higher education conference comes to Sweden


    In September 2021, Sweden will host EAIE (the European Association for International Education), Europe's largest, and the world’s second largest international conference in higher education. Around 6,000 people from higher education institutions from over 95 countries are expected to attend the conference in Gothenburg.

Joakim Netz, assistant professor at the School of Engineering, Jönköping University, conducts research on how the business sector is adapting and making contributions for the corona crisis. Recently it was announced that the project will be funded by the Swedish Civil Contingencies Agency.
  • Adaptation of on-campus education in the autumn semester


    Jönköping University’s spring semester and summer courses will be conducted off-campus, but the ambition is to start on-campus education in the beginning of the autumn semester 2020, with continued regards to the recommendations and guidelines.
  • Digital PhD defence goes global


    The first in a series of digital PhD thesis defences took place at Jönköping International Business School (JIBS)  and became quite an international event. Participants and spectators tuned in to the doctoral defence from Sweden, Rwanda, the UK and Spain.
